Happy 17th birthday to our little old man dog! Last year for his sweet 16 we had a picnic dinner of all his favorite foods and took him for a car ride! He loves car rides where we end up at sonic or McDonald’s for a snack! Unfortunately due to social distancing this year we were unable to go out to eat BUT we still tried to do so many of his favorite things! I am so glad he is still around this year! Life would be really lonely without him!

Doggy Photo Shoot!

So, we did a photo shoot in a beautiful white background (this was more for my benefit than for his) but he was a sport and stuck it out for me!

Car Ride!

The Next thing we did was take him for a car ride! Probably the HOTTEST car ride we have ever taken him on though. I didn’t realize it would be that HOT but our ac wasn’t working so (also neither do our windows) so my daughter and I were sweating by the time we got home and we had to cut the ride short. BUT I think he enjoyed it quite a bit!

Chicken dinner!

For dinner in lou of being able to go out to eat he had shredded BBQ chicken! He loves chicken. Once last year he went an entire month where he wouldn’t eat unless i hand fed him shredded chicken! Yep, he can be a little stubborn. BUT now every time I think of it it makes me smile! It was so fun and such a blessing to get to celebrate his 17th birthday! Not many people can say they did that. In human years it would make him 84 years old! Officially “geriatric” I hate to think of that!

Outside time!

Our little old man dog loves loves loves outside time! LIKE HE REALLY LOVES IT! He would spend all day out there (if I didn’t make him come in because of the heat!) He loves to partol the yard! He will take off around it as happy as can be and walk the same path over and over! On his birthday though, he claimed EVERYTHING as his, every tree and various parts of the fence. He basically just wandered around peeing on everything! Here is a little gallery of some of some of his outdoor fun this summer!

Extra Photos!

One thing I love about my blog is being able to look back on all the memories we have made! It is kinda like a scrapbook of all of our moments from vacations to just the simple every day! If you want to, travel back a year in time with me and check out our little old man dogs sweet 16 party here!

Thanks for stopping by today to help us celebrate this special occasion!
