Summer is coming to a close, and it makes me so sad. This has been such an enjoyable summer. With the close of summer, it’s time to start wrapping up my summer Puff the Duck books. This summer I’ve added titles about soccer (since it has swept our nation this summer), the carnival (for the 250th anniversary of America), and gardening (because I have so enjoyed working in my garden this summer and Puff did too!).
The last of the summer children’s books before I start adding more fall-themed books to the Puff series again is Puff Goes to the Pool. It is just such a fun children’s book about a little duck who stumbles through summer, chases a beautiful butterfly, and finds what he thinks is another pond. Then he learns that it is a pool!
A Ready Read for Preschool and Kindergarten Reading Levels. This book is perfect for those who are just starting to match spoken words with those on the page. It has simple vocabulary, short sentences, large print, and pictures!

The Little Easter Unicorn Talks Too Much
Stand-alone Easter book about punctuation for elementary-age kids
The Little Easter Unicorn was published in 2022 and continues to be my best-selling book! It features an adorable rainbow unicorn and a cute white rabbit who banter back and forth about Easter baskets. The book is designed to teach punctuation to younger elementary students (think Kindergarten to second grade). This unicorn is super chatty, and the bunny gets a little annoyed about it. It’s both funny and educational.
With large print, simple sentences, and common sight words, it helps early readers practice punctuation, sentence structure, and familiar vocabulary. The story also includes a fun activity at the end for extra learning. It works great in easter baskets or paired with punctuation lessons for homeschoolers.
