It is finally time for me to sit down and type of this post for you guys about our latest house party!

This party was super special because it was out 16 year old dogs birthday party! My daughter and I decided to celebrate it BIG this year.

Party Preparation:

The morning of his birthday we went to Walmart and got lime green plates, party hats, and napkins. We have tons of balloons at home, and we also have a really cool like green blanket. We grabbed root beer, diet Dr pepper and lemonade at the store to drink for his party too… don’t worry we didn’t share these drinks with our little ond man dog!

We got home and set up some cute little decorate and laid the lime green blanket under them…our plan was that the whole family eat on the floor with him!

How to Celebrate a Dogs Sweet 16

Our little old man dog LOVES car rides. He loves sitting in my heated seat no matter the weather, so I loaded him and my daughter into the car to go get some food. We took the scenic root to give him a longer car ride on his birthday and got Arby’s fries and roast beef sandwiches. Then we went to McDonald’s and got chicken nuggets and a basket of fries there too. Yes, it is kind of like a muckbang, but I wanted to get a lot of his favorite foods. We set it up on a tray when we got home and obviously had to take a photo of him with it! Great photo op right?

We all sat down, and I gave him a sandwich and nuggets with a couple fries on his plate. At first, he was a little unsure if he should eat off the plate when we all sat down, but then he dove right in. Once he was “finished” with his he began to walk from person to person around the blanket to see what they had. Sometimes we would hand him his own plate or just take some food off it and give it to him. He was quite pleased with himself and thought he got food off of each and every person’s plate! Such a silly little old man dog! But he had a great birthday and it was a great bonding experience for the whole family! I just love those moments!

Thanks for tuning in today to read our HAPPY BIRTHDAY story! Let me know what kind of fun bonding activity you and your family do in the comments below! My little old man dog always appreciates a happy birthday or two as well, so you can leave the wishes below and I’ll be sure to relay the messages!

From one dog mama to another, have a great day!
