Halloween Pumpkin Painting

  •

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! How are you celebrating today? We will be painting some more mini pumpkins, like the ones in this post as well as participating in our asthma friendly, and SOCIAL DISTANCING APPROVED Trick or treat! HOW is this possible??? Learn about this unique activity here! We may even make some yummy Halloween cupcakes! BUT we will be STAYING AT HOME TODAY!

We love Halloween pumpkin painting and the little mini Halloween pumpkins are just the CUTEST! So, today I am going to show you some of the adorable pumpkins we have painted and some of the messy fun process!

Supplies:

This is designed to be pretty mess free. Set the pumpkins on paper plates or paper towels so you don’t have to clean up the mess later. Then put the paint on paper plates and have the paint brushes be q-tips. You can throw it all out when you are done! If you happen to have an egg carton, you could also use this to be really crafty and hold the acrylic paints. We used this for a different project BUT it works really well.

The Painting Process:

This was such a fun project. NOT only did we paint the mini pumpkins but we also painted the hearts from our pumpkin carving project. (We carved out hearts for this years pumpkin). My daughter had a blast adding glitter (this part got messy)! The q-tips were perfect for little dots! Check out the painting gallery:

The Final Product:

These pumpkins lasted as decorations for over a month and a half! But the hearts only lasted a few days. They have been so fun to include as decorations on the table, in blog posts, and around the class room! Their home has mainly been in our homeschool classroom! BUT this was a great mother daughter activity. Lots of creativity!

I hope you all have a very safe and happy HALLOWEEN!
