When my daughter was small (and even now) I never got into the “name brand” kids toys super big. I know that to some parents Melissa and Doug was like the Holly grall of kids toys tough. I started thinking about it when my daughter and I were playing with her magnetic Disney Melissa and Doug princess doll! Then I decided to see if I could come up with a post that talked about the Melissa and Doug toys we actually use at age 5! So here goes “nothing”!
Disney Princess Magnet Doll
This is a set that we have had for awhile, but my daughter and I had it out just last week playing with it! Since we got it along time ago I wasn’t able to find it, but i did find the purple Sofia set which you can get here!
Disney Mini Mouse Magnet Doll
We also have the mini mouse dress up set which has gotten a lot of play time! It comes with skirts, shirts, bags, and bows! Other magnetic accessories are the PETS and glasses! It looks just like the latest mini mouse from TV! You can get it from amazon here!
Fishing set:
This is another item that got a lot of play out of it! Each of the fish have a number on them and then there is a spinner. You can spin the worm and it gives you the number fish you have to “fish” for. There is even a bag to put the fish in after the kiddos catch them! Wooden food cutting cutting board set
We have several of the wooden food sets and I think above everything else on this list it is the wooden food that has gotten the most play! The Melissa and Doug brand has wooden pizza with Velcro pizza toppings, and wooden knifes to cut apart Velcro food. Those are the two sets we have! The come pith cucumbers, bread, tomatoes, carrots, a wooden knife! Be sure to grab a set for the kiddos to help keep them entertained at home!
Butterfly Stamp Set
Melissa and Doug has a large variety of stamp sets that area really cute. The stamp sets are wooden and really good quality. They come in nice box sets for easy storage with the ink pads. We have a spring time butter fly set! You can shop more sets here:
