There are a couple ways to turn Pinterest followers into blog traffic. Never be afraid to be a little extra! Make your Pinterest account look overly appealing, add a variety of pins, and customize board covers! In this post we have specific instruction on each of the ways to do this!

One Sure Way to Get More Traffic From Pinterest:

One of the best ways is to create new pins for blog posts that already exist and upload them to Pinterest! When adding a new pin on Pinterest you can give it a title, description, and link a website. Get the specific link for the post you are wanting to promote. I typically add 5 to 10 new pins to Pinterest each day! Pin different versions of a pin to group boards to get more followers and in turn more blog traffic.

Be a little extra:

If you want to be a little extra with your Pinterest board then go for it! It helps to build your board. Pick a theme for your account and have a matching background image, profile picture, and coordinated board covers. This can all be done if you have a business Pinterest profile. You can make all the coordinated images in canva. The best looking and most active profiles get the most traffic!

Change board covers to match:

Log onto Pinterest on your computer, save a photo of the board cover you made on canvas to the board. Then click on a board. Click the pencil icon to edit it and then click change cover. It will give you the option to pick recen pins.

Upload a logo profile picture:

I keep my logo profile picture the same across all Social media accounts so that it is easily recognized! Make sure it matches your Pinterest board!

Add a website!

Make sure your website is listed at the top of your Pinterest account! You can add your website in the profile editor.

Add a set background image:

In the business profile for an account you have a background image. It starts out with being a combination of many of your pins (either recent or from a set board). If you click the pencil icon either on a phone or computer, you can pick an image to add for the account instead of a bunch of pins. You can also do a video if that is more your style!

Add video pins!

Add at least one video pin a day and it will boost traffic to your account! Pinterest seems to really like video pins!
