Hey Mama’s,Another year has gone by and you know what that means? Another shark week! This week we have lots of fun activities to share with you all! But first let’s take a journey back in time to the 30th annual shark week event (last year’s shark week)! So, last year was definitely a year to remember because of all the fun and exciting activities! If you didn’t get to participate in these activities with is last year then it’s not too late!

Benefits of shark week for kids!

My daughter picked up so many fun shark facts during last shark week. If you want to see what all she learned you can check out this blog post here. I’ll give you a little back story though, incase you don’t feel like reading the post for yourself! She learned about how some sharks give live births to pups and others lay eggs in spirals. She also learned about Manta Ray’s! So this program isn’t just isolated to sharks!

Viewer Descression is advised!

Yes, you read that right…parts of shark week can be very violent and much of it isn’t something that kids should see. In the past I always sensor what we see for shark week so that my daughter isn’t exposed to the violence of blood of the programs. This year we will be doing the same! I strongly recommend this if you have young kids.

Shark Week Fun Stuff!

I love shark week fun stuff! From shark paterend cloths to gummy fish it all helps to make shark week that much more kid friendly and fun! You can check out our top 6 shark items from last year if you are needing some fun shark week ideas!Top 6 shark week items!

Chomp into shark week with these fun activities!

You have to do at least a few fun crafts or activities to celebrate shark week! They don’t have to be anything elaborate. So, might I recommend making homemade “ocean” ice cream in a bag using this recipe? If that’s not your speed then you should definitely try making paper plate aquariums with shake stickers and blue paper plates, you can see more details about this activity here!

Thanks for stopping by today Mama’s, and I hope you and your kiddos have a “chomp”-tastic Shark week! Stay tuned for more activity ideas and even a shark preschool unit!Happy 31st annual Shark Week!BriePS: pick your favorite shark week pin and share the love!
