Don’t change your permalinks after you have pinned Tons of posts!

I was messing around with my blog setting about 8 months into blogging (with about 93 posts worth of content on Pinterest at that time). I stumbled across permalinks which change the way the https looks for each of your posts. You have so many different option. I changed it and noticed that my Pinterest views declined from 50K per month to 27K per month. Come to find out that none of my pins were connected to my website anymore! The good news is that once I changed my website permalinks back, it fixed the problem. My advice to you would be to set your permalinks links the way you want them to look BEFORE you start making content and posts.

Don’t repin too many of your own pins at once, and watch what you click on.

This will make Pinterest’s algorism see you as a spammer and they will suspend your account. For more information on this topic, check out my experience here.

Comment on other blogs:

Commenting on other blogs is a great way to stay connected with other bloggers, as well as advertise your blog to them indirectly! Typically in the forms they will contain a place to share your website! This could actually get you followers. I know it’s gotten me a few!
