This week my latest children’s book, number 21 in the Puff the Duck series, came out. When I started this series, I knew I wanted it to be a long one. I wanted to craft a series that little readers could return to over and over again and have a new, yet similar experience each and every time. With Puff the duck, you know what you are getting. Easy words, beautiful illustrations, and a little duck who goes on a relatable adventure and teaches kids something beneficial for their life. So, why did I write Puff Goes to the Pool?
Summer is coming to a close, and it makes me so sad. This has been such an enjoyable summer. With the close of summer, it’s time to start wrapping up my summer Puff the Duck books. This summer I’ve added titles about soccer (since it has swept our nation this summer), the carnival (for the 250th anniversary of America), and gardening (because I have so enjoyed working in my garden this summer and Puff did too!).
The last of the summer children’s books before I start adding more fall-themed books to the Puff series again is Puff Goes to the Pool. It is just such a fun children’s book about a little duck who stumbles through summer, chases a beautiful butterfly, and finds what he thinks is another pond. Then he learns that it is a pool! He learns other little lessons too, like you shouldn’t drink pool water.
