Types of Video Lessons

The lessons are divided into the following types:

  • Lectures – a short and concise video that is easy to understand and quick to watch. These are the most common type of video lessons in the program. They are good for students who learn best by listening or watching. The Bible, phonics, reading, spelling, and handwriting lessons each have their own unique lectures. Lectures range from 15-40 minutes depending on the subject.
  • Special Topics – these short videos cover a wide variety of topics including history, science and basic math skills like multiplication tables through 12! Special topics typically take about 20 minutes to watch. However, short math and reading videos are offered for your child to watch and take about 5-10 minutes.
  • Handwriting – it may seem odd that they include this as part of the video streaming program, but the handwriting is an important skill for many first graders. Hence, they work extensively on letter formation for 15 minutes per day.
