- Specs of the product:
- A pdf document to print out of the files or individual jpg images of the files to print out on 4×6 photocopy paper.
Printing Tips:
The mats work best printed on glossy photo paper because it is slick, and the 3D printer ink will come off the mats easily. Kids do well with the kids safe Junior 3D Pen that works with PCL filament as it does not get as hot as other pens. PCL also is low odor and pops off the glossy photo paper once it is dry.
This is a print activity:
All pages are designed to print as a 4X6 projects to save on PCL ink when the students use them. paper. There is a total of 2 pages. The items are designed for the students to easily be able to trace over them with their 3D printer pens and fill them in.
Classroom Based Game:
You can print out as many copies of this item as you like. If you are in a classroom you can let the students choose which style mat they want to try out. If you are making it a class activity and have the resources you could have each student test out a 3D printing pen on the mats.
If you only have one 3D printing pen you could have the mats set up in a 3D printing area in your classroom with a variety of filaments as an activities station.
Home Based Game:
If you are at home, you can use this activity for a game or for home school. You can set up the 3D pen printer station whenever you want to have your children work with their fine motor skills. Have them trace over the objects on the mats with the 3D printer pen.
Bonus activity:
Bonus activity! If your student has printed out the items from both mats then they have the main characters from the Is it a rock? book! You can read the book with your student and have them act it out with their printed pieces. The book is not included in this bundle.
