Modern Day Shows with an A+ Approval.

  •

I did a post earlier this summer with a throwback marathon for the kiddos of all kids of awesome and very appropriate kids shows from back in the day when I was growing up! If you want to check it out you can see the post with the shows linked for free on YouTube here!

Then, I did the modern day shows to be avoiding…like the really bad ones. They have demonic undertones, witch craft, and all kinds of other anti-christian and anti-parent influences.

Now, how about what the kiddos could be watching from now days, that is actually A OKAY…

1.) Leap Frog Letter Factory

This is a Netflix show, and also on the leap frog tablets. It is insanely educational! Taught my daughter all her letter sounds over the summer! Absolutely love it! All singing and warm fuzziness from this show!

2.) Veggie Tales: In the House

Veggie tales have been around forever. They are about kindness.  There is tons of singing! They encourage sharing and lots of other good things! As an added bonus they speak highly of God at the end of each episode! Go Veggie Tales!

3.) Barbie Life in the Dream House

This one is a little vain and a little drama lama I’ll admit. But as far as kids shows go, other than a bit of the cringe, it is not a bad soap op for young girls.

5.) True

True is on Netflix, and I think in YouTube as well. They have singing, dancing, and lots of bright colors! Everything this really happy in this show and all the little animals look like they were supposed to be bubble animals. It is very much that happy little rainbowish show!

6.) Sofia the First

Sofia the first is a lot about honestly, sharing, inclusion, and being kind to people. It makes for a beautiful princess show.

7.) Number Blocks

Very educational for counting, math, and just learning numbers from all different view points! Love these 5 seasons of this show! My daughter has watched all of them several times with slot of enthusiasm! It is basically just dancing blocks that add and subtract and count!

8.) Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry shortcake is a pretty age appropriate show for kids to be watching and it hasn’t been touched by the crazy like many of the shows have that made it on the avoid list. Lots of problem solving, working things out as friends, etc!

9.) Bread Barber Shop

This one is a little more rough around the edges on the list. I haven’t seen a lot of it, but it seems like an ok show for the most part. It is new to Netflix, and my daughter has been loving it. This show is all about talking food, and one of the milks was made different. It has a W instead of a M. So you fall said milk cartons journey through “life as it goes to work for a bread Barber. It all seems pretty happy…I’m not really sure what this show is about though.

So there you have it! Nine good quality shows for 5 year olds to watch that are not complete garbage filled with demonic influence and an abundance of flaunted sin!
