  •

Let’s talk crafting! There are so many easy kids crafts, or things that could be considered crafts out there! Today, I’ll be running through a few of them with you all!

DIY Letter Taco:

The Taco letter DIY craft goes well with any Mexican dinner! We did this craft back on Cinco de Mayo and it was a blast.

  1. Cut out a large oval of yellow constuction paper for the taco.
  2. Cut out different color squares of construction paper for the toppings.
  3. Have the kiddos write one letter on each square. We did all 26.
  4. glue the letters all over the oval and around the edges.
  5. fold the oval to make a taco!

The Melissa and Doug Magnetic dolls are super easy crafts to dig out! Just dig out the tray and you are ready for a crafting day!

Fake Flower Sensory Bin!

You can make a fake flower sensory bin for the kiddos to dig around it! We took ours outside the other day (that is wasn’t raining) and my daughter dug in here little garden!

  1. Fill a large plastic tub full of dried beans (brown and black)
  2. Cut appart fake flowers and leave 5 to 6 inch stems on them. Put them in the tub.
  3. Put little plastic flower pots into the plastic tub.
  4. Add plastic shovels to the tub.
  5. LET THE KIDDOS PLAY!

Mud painting:

Have the kiddos make some mud paintings! SInce it has been so rainy outside last few weeks we just brought a little bowl of mud in for our mud painting. You could also do this activity outside, if you like. Give them some paint brushes to get creative! My daughter did smiley faces!

Get creative with nail polish!

Have the kiddos paint their own nails! This is such a girly and fun way to get creative!

Decorate cupcakes!

Decorating cupcakes is both delicious and fun! If you are in the mood for a sweet treat then try making cupcakes! Mix your own icing color by mixing in food dye! Have the kiddos put whatever fun sprinkles they wan to on the cupcakes!

Number Octopus!

The last kids craft we have to talk about today is the number octopus! This is another SUPER easy craft! I’ll go thought the steps:

  1. Cut out 10 slits in the bottom half of the paper for the legs.
  2. Have the kiddos write one number on each leg (1-10).
  3. Have them draw the numbers worth of suction cups (circles) on each leg. For the 2 leg draw 2 suction cups!
  4. Draw a face on the top half.
  5. Tape the side ends of the paper together so it makes a cylinder.
