Painting with Nature Items!

This is a super easy activity to do. First you go on a scavenger hunt to find cool items from around the yard! You can grab leaves, sticks, bark, and/or flowers! Then, put paint onto a paper plate and have the kiddos dip their outdoor treasures into the paint. They use the leaves and things as paint brushes! When we do anything crafty with acrylic paint we always use the crayola acrylic paint. It is one of the cheapest brands and offers so many colors! You can get some here on amazon!

Disney Tots Activities!

My daughter has a round white table and we rotate toys on it every couple of days to keep her entertained. The rotation set of choice these past few days has been the Disney Tots Activity Center. It has been a little while since the Tots show came out on Disney Jr. (probably about a year) but the set is still totally cute! It has lots of moving parts and lights! One of my daughter favorite things to do with it is to send the babies down the slide and they can land in their little pool!

If you want to grab one of these sets for your kiddos you can get it on amazon here! The main tots play tower from the photo comes with three babies, but we also have the baby’s pack to make it even more fun! You can grab the play pack here!

Slime Time!

We have the unicorn head slime set! Before we go this set, my daughter would hardly even touch slime! There is just something about glittery slime from a pink unicorn that enticed her though! This is a really really simple sensory activity. Grab a paper plate if you don’t want to make a mess and just pour the slime on it! You can get your set of unicorn head slime from amazon here!

Buckaroo!

This has become one of my daughter favorite board games as of late! Can we call it a board game because there is no board? I don’t know, I call it that because it is in a box like the other board games! Anyway, Its pretty simple. All you do is stack the items on the bronco and wait till it bounces up and flips them off! We got this game AGES ago but you can still get it here on amazon!

UNO Card Game!

This game is another classic that we have had forever! We have the basic card game and now that my daughter is good with her numbers and letters we enjoy playing this game! It is an amusing way to pass the time! They have quite a fey different versions of it now that look pretty amusing!

DIY Dragon Eggs!

These DIY Dragon eggs are a modified version of an activity posted on the No Time for flash cards blog! There they are called HOT Rocks! The only change we made from their experiment was that we sprinkled them with glitter and called them dragon eggs. These Are rocks, heated, and then coated with crayon wax and glitter! For more details on the experiment hop on over to the No Time for Flash Cards Post here!

DIY Paper Plate Butterflies!

This is another SUPER simple project made from paper plates, stickers, and pipe cleaners! Just have the kiddos cut out a triangle from two sides of the paper plate. This leaves only the wings left. Then wrap the center with a pipe cleaner and twist in a cute fashion! Add the stickers to the wings and you are done!

Make paper plate crowns!

We also have this SUPER easy way to make paper crowns! I love it! So, you take a paper plate and Draw on the back of it like you would be cutting a pizza! So there is 8 slices. Then you have the kiddos decorate it. After they are done, you cut on the lines and bend up the triangles. This makes the points of their crown!

Leap Frog Videos on Netflix

How is preschool/homeschooling going for you? At this point in the quarantine it is truly a slippery slope for us! I’ll admit it is NOT going well. BUT there is a small silver lining. I just found the Leap Frog Learning Videos on Netflix and they do an amazing job with phonic and Letter Sounds! AND the best part is…my daughter doesn’t know it is preschool so she doesn’t hide under her table and scream! Yay! Mom win!
