DIY Craft Bag

Our second major Cricut project was creating a crafting bag. (stay tuned till the end for a bonus kids craft!) It was by far our most complicated project because we had to use 3 different colored vinyls. It was our late night craft all night bag. We had gotten into the bad habit of digging out the Cricut around 8 pm and not going to bed until 11:30 or so over the winter break. Which was basically the inspiration for creating this bag:

If you are interested in creating this bag on your Cricut here are the patterns I made for it first we have the words:

Then here are all the moon/stars/ and cloud design!

With this second project now complete i feel like i have definitely improved with using the machine. Like I said in the first project post (you can read it here), I had some difficulty getting my machine all set up and working correctly. For the metallic vinyl that we used for this bag I used the Vinyl+ setting that is directly on top of the cricut explore air 2! You can get the Cricut Explore air 2 bundle in mint colored here! It is the same one that I have. Then you can make fun free projects like this!

Bonus!!!!!!!!

A bonus craft you can do from this project is to use the vinyl that is left over from taking out the shapes as stencils for the kiddos! I think coloring inside the stars and moon was my daughter’s favorite part of the project!

So, excited about having a cute bag to store our vinyl in! Let me know in the comments below your favorite crafting projects!
