For Christmas I got a Cricut machine. It took me a few days to work up the nerve to dig it out of its box and start trying to figure out how to work it. My daughter and I tried all sorts of materials out in the machine, from paper which worked great to thich faux letter which SUCKED in the begining!

It took a little while for me to figure out the appropriate cuts, blades, and mats for the machine. BUT Once I finally got the hang of cutting out thinner materials I used the thin vinyl that came with my kit to cut out THESE awesome Letter Board decorations for my letter board canvas bags and jar.

We have the Cricut Explore Air 2 Machine in the Mint color. You can get the same bundle we have here on walmart.com! Anyway, The next thing I have for you today is the Free decal pattern for the jar. It was a simple one that I designed on Canva but I think it looks pretty nice on this cute jar to hold our letter board letters! Just upload this image and then use the removing wand with medium contrast to get rid off all the white space! Ta-da you have a decal.

This was our first major cricut project that actually worked! It was so exciting. I am still trying to master things like cutting out thick material and using transfer tape, but other than that it has been pretty fun! I bet we will eventually get there in the coming weeks. We have developed this bad habit of setting up the Cricut machine around 8 pm and crafting till around 10:30 or 11. This is something we DEFIANTLY need to change before my classes start back up again. We switched our sleep schedule for the new year though (so my daughter would be able to make it till midnight).

Thanks for stopping by for a free pattern and some details on our first project! Here is a more specific list of product details:
