My daughter’s puppy sister even “helped” out with this activity and my daughter really enjoyed it. She “helped” by licking the strings. We actually made two necklaces throughout the day.
Supplies:
- Scissors
- Straws
- Yarn
Steps:
1.) Cut straws into pieces. It is easier for kids to cut the plastic straws than the paper straws.
2.) String them on a long piece of yarn.
3.) Make sure the yarn fits over your childs head easily before tying it too tight.
Story time!
Like I said earlier my daughter’s puppy sister helped lick the strings! Anyhow my daughter loves to cut pretty much anything with her scissors so cutting straws was great fun. When you cut plastic straws the tend to shoot out all over the floor. Which my little girl thought was hilarious. Though we did aim our straws at a bucket!
Thanks for stopping by today to check out this activity!
