The Fourth of July is coming up and I am sure you all are gearing up for carnivals, fireworks, and lots of fun! In the midst of all the festivities and traditions your families have, you are probably a little bit like me and searching for a few fun things to keep the kids entertained at home. Today we are bringing you some fun crafts and ways to celebrate this Forth of July with your family!
The first is the daylight and night sky fire work art!
Supplies:
- Toilet paper roll
- Two paper plates
- Red and blue acrylic paint
- White and black construction paper
After you have all your supples you cut slits all around the toilet paper roll so it looks like tons of octopus legs. Then you have your kids use it as a paint brush or stamper and stamp fire works onto the paper. I found that it was really helpful to have a paper plate for each color of paint so that my daughter could keep the colors separate. Here are some photos of the experience! My daughter did she would definitely do it again next year.
Firework Stand:
A second thing that we have done to prepare for the fourth of July is go to a fire works stand…we are planning to go watch processional fireworks someplace so we didn’t get very many for here. Just some of the cute ones.
