Every summer is different when your a mom. Every summer is different when you’re a college student. Basically, every summer is different.
As far as motherhood goes, I feel like my summers change as my daughter gets older, she is able to do more and her interests change. While each summer in college is different because I always have a different schedule and different workload.

This will definitely be our most busy summer yet! As some of you may have heard, I came out with my mother daughter bonding e-book. I offer it for free here on my site and it provides a new activity each and every day  of the month of may to do with your child! My daughter and I will be doing all the activities in real time along with you guys! I’m so excited for all the fun bonding time!

Along with these, we are also/or already have several memberships and things we’ve signed up for! We’ll go ahead and give you the rundown here. It’ll be a great way for you guys to see what different kinds of summer fun activities are available!

Library Card:

The first thing we have is a library card! Library cards are so useful, if they aren’t free they are usually only 20-40/ year. It’s a really great deal for all the fun stuff you gain access to. Out library offers crafting days, Stem building days (when it rains), library preschool programs, summer reading program, coloring pages, toys, books, movies, computer games to play while your there, and free WiFi. Wow…that’s allot of bang for your buck.
This summer we really need to get caught up on our 2019 reading goals! I have also gotten my daughter some headphones so she can play the learning games, and we are planning on using some of the free WiFi for abc mouse learning since it is faster than our home wifi. Of course we are excited about getting to go to the library preschool programs and I was even able to plan my schedule around for them a bit. I’m hoping its going to be a really relaxing and educational time.

Bounce Houses or Indoor Play Areas:

Depending on the area you are in and the attractions, some of these can get pretty expensive. We decided to go with the I door bounce house packages for summer time. They are perfect for getting the wiggles out on rainy days, and my daughter always meets tons of kids to play with. It has a couple perks for me as a college student as well. The bounce house area is closed off, so from the tables I can see all of it. It great to bring my tablet and crank out some homework for classes or get a few blog posts written while my daughter has tons of fun. I can also still keep an eye on her. This kind of study wouldn’t be possible at the pool or park. I am super blessed to be able to have a place like this! I wrote a post earlier about one of our bounce house trips, you can read it here if you like.

Pool Season Pass:

This is one pass I haven’t signed up for yet but would really like to. They are the most costly of the bunch, but last summer my daughter and I loved loved, (may I say loved again?) going to the pool! She made tons of friends, was getting so much more coordinated in the water, and we would get a sun tan! There were always smiles at the pool, it’s such a happy time! With a unlimited pass we could go whenever we wanted. To me it would be worth it to not have to stress week to week about coming up with the money, or running out half way through summer and not being able to go again. I’m thinking if I have the money by the time the pool opens up, then I’ll definitely get us a season pass! I didn’t get one last year, and we didn’t go too many times.

Dance camp!

Most towns have studios which offer summer dance programs, in our case the studio offers a dance camp. I don’t have to get my little girl new shoes or gear because none of that is required for the camp, so basically the only expense here is the camp itself. I have a feeling my daughter will love it! She went to one last year and she liked it then, so I guess not everything about summer changes. Though they have changed the theme and prices.

Hopefully this gives you an idea of all the memberships you could potentially sign up for. Stay tuned for more of the fun activity ideas!
