I’ll admit homeschool preschool isn’t an easy thing to do, especially if your a busy mom. Sometimes, like in our case right now, it is the best thing though. If you just started thinking about homeschool preschool you’ve probably done a ton of research on Pinterest, Google, or whatever your go to search engine is your prime choice. Today I’m going to walk you through the process of a hassle free, fun preschool program.

Getting Started with a Homeschool Preschool Program:

To get started jump over to this post and get the FREE no sign ups required beginner letters worksheets. You can also read about how I initially started my preschool program! This is more of your “daily worksheets” kind of thing, and will give you 52 worksheets to choose from. If you are interested in adding more worksheets and VIDEO LESSONS for free then check out how to get a free version of Chalk Preschool Online here! It is a great free resource for homeschooling moms.

How often should you have “Class”?

I don’t recommend doing preschool on weekends, your kids will burn out. Also as a rule of thumb, I only give up to 3 worksheets a week. Kids get bored of doing the same ol’ thing over and over again.

Homeschool Preschool Lesson Plans:

So, spice up your preschool routine by working in some of these lesson plans each week!

  • Get hands on by using blocks to measure different things around your home, or work with Play-Doh! Need some ideas, or more specifics, read my article here.
  • You can also use simple and fun watercolor science experiments to teach your kids about shapes and colors, click here for step by step lesson plans.
  • The next set of lesson plans I have for you to mix in your curriculum is farm week! You can split the activities up with the worksheets to make them last several weeks, or you can do them all in one day, here’s your awesome hands on farm lesson.
  • While having all the fun activities, worksheets, and everything for your preschool program is great, I’ll admit it can be tiring, so go ahead and try this very simple paper plate, sticker activity (lesson plans here). You can use it as a go to fun activity for your littles when you need a “teacher break”

No time for lessons? Then do THIS!

Honestly though, if you are in a time crunch, and can’t do anything else with your program on a given day, then try to tackle these three things (click here to read more about why they are so important).

  • Count to ten
  • Read a book
  • Sing the ABCs

Add in some FUN stuff:

If you are a girl mom, then you might also be interested in incorporating some bonding activities into you routine! These could range from mother-daughter dates to completing a bucket-list. Remember that you should be making preschool fun, not just all about the worksheets and educational videos! Be sure to check out the special Mother-Daughter Activity book as a way to incorporate mother-daughter bonding into your preschool program! Get your copy here!

Add EVEN more fun and Hands on Learning!

pretend shop

Playing pretend shop with your kids is a great way to get them counting and familiarize them with the whole shopping system of buying things with MONEY. With this printable set, we add the bonus of learning some colors, learning about various methods of payment, and we have even included some fun tickets to sell in the shop! Get your set here!
