I just Love Love Love a new kitchen appliances! The other day I just ripped into the the Gotham Steel Electric Smoke-Less Grill we got to make a delish hamburger meal!

I have to say, as a single mom, I never really imagined myself grilling. My daughter cannot be around the smoke of an outdoor grill, and such things. Anyway, when we got this indoor, Smoke-Less Grill, I was really excited. Just think of all the creative food options I could start making! I was just as excited as when I got my air fryer.

Anyhow when you open the box it had 4 pieces for the appliance that were super easy to put together! The plug in temperature piece, the base, the drip tray, and the grill portion.

I started out by putting a 1/2 a cup of water in the drip tray and wiped off the grill a bit. Then I heated it up for five minutes (again this is all in the instruction manual).

I started out by grilling my toast for my burgers. I just put the smallest amount of butter on each side and cooked them on the low-medium temperature setting for 5 minutes, flipping them a few times. (I’m kinda an obsessive flipper.)

Next I cooked my burgers, I did them on the high temperature setting, the light goes off when it reaches the temperature.

I cooked the burgers, which were pretty thick, for quite a bit longer than the instructions said to…about 25 minutes.

Our food turned out great though!
Sorry for the bites out of the burger before the picture! It smelled so good I started stuffing my face before I snapped the photo!

The flavor was just like an outdoor grill, and there was a very minimal amount of smoke (such as when the buttered toast was cooking, or when the hamburgers we’re initially put on the grill.) The grill was pretty much a breeze to clean. I just waited till it cooled took out the temperature controller, and washed the grill off with soap and water…remember don’t submerged it.

The second time I cooked on the grill wasn’t as pleasent as the first. It took 45 minutes to cook our hamburgers, and the the whole house ended up filled with smoke. Every time I turned the burgers. I’m hoping that this was just a fluke. I still like having the opportunity to grill, but if the whole smoke thing continues I will no longer be able to use it. Look at this perfectly grilled toast I got our of the second grill though…
