I cannot rave enough about how fun the Modelones starter kit unboxing was! I was so disappointed that they are no longer selling this exact set…but if you click here, you can get the upgraded set! I got this as a Christmas gift (yes I know this post is a little late coming, but I wanted to see how well this stuff really worked). The box looked like a mini set and was totally cute. The light was they, the bottles we’re tiny, etc. etc. It all worked great though! So let’s check out some of the awesome products I got in my box!
Cute Nail Care Supplies:
There were so many cute, and unique nail care supplies that came along with this set! These products included two types of nail files. A course grit nail file, and then a nail file with small grit on one side and a smoother on the other. It also came with a cuticle cutter (though I don’t cut my cuticles, I just push them back) and a cuticle pusher. Of course what nail kit wouldn’t be complete without a nail cleaning brush and some new nail clippers. Another thing I thought that was totally cool was the cuticle revitalizing oil.
Not only did it come with these fun supplies I also got two different kinds of wipes, some uv gel remover pads and some isopropyl alcohol swabs.
Cute Nail Polish Supplies:
The nail polish bottles were 7ml, and super compact, but they were definitely full. The colors all coordinated, which was another bonus, and they were subtle and I really, really like that. It came with stickers you could paint and put on your bottles after curing to to see the colors. This was a fun part of the project and took about two to four minutes in intervals of 45s to cure this. This kind of gives a perspective on how long it would take to do your nails when painted.
After the curing labels were cured I stuck them to the bottom of the bottles.
My UV Led lamp was a sun mini, and absolutely adorable. It was about 5 inches long, and roughly the size of a small phone. The legs pop out to make it look like a little table for curing. The set came with a cable, but no adapter. As an added note, the lamp on the side with the UV lights gets pretty hot.
The final Product: Gel Nails
The gel nails look and feel wonderful though! Before I applied the gel I used these fun product: cuticle pusher, nail clippers, and cuticle revitalizing oil on my nails.
Between each coat (base, 2 coats of color, and top coat) I used the light several times. Overall it took about an hour and a half to get the nails done, but they last a really really long time so that is a plus. I’ve just been doing fills instead of taking off the Polish. The fills are quick and easy!
