Let’s talk about our totally Glam Valentine’s tree. We revived our mannequin Christmas tree and turn it into a pretty Valentine’s lady. This was a great mother daughter activity because not only did we get to redecorate the tree together, we also got to shop for some of the decorations.

How we made the Valentine’s top:

The first thing we did was take some red fabric and wrap it around the top like a really cute shirt. Then we added my daughter’s feather pink boa scarf and one of the sparkly silver flowers we had on it around Christmas time. We left our silver Christmas and belt on there because it’s actually kind of difficult to tie on.

On to the Valentine’s skirt:

This is the part that we had to go shopping for! We went shopping after Christmas time for the large red bows. We got these for 75% off so all the bows cost a total of 3 dollars. That was really the only money we put into our tree because we handmade the other ornaments as well as the banner. For the yarn hearts we cut out cardboard hearts and wrapped them in yarn, pretty simple. Then we tied pom poms to the tree in white and light-pink. Lastly, we added the love banner. for this one I hand painted the different letters of LOVE on each of the red banner pieces we cut out of fabric. Instead of you have a very simple Valentine’s tree that looks adorable for your upcoming Valentine’s parties! It makes for a great mother daughter activity as well!
