College Mom Workout Routine

So, today I wanted to jump on and tell you guys a little bit about my college mom morning workout routine, or just workout routine in general. Probably beginning of November my did a post about wanting to change some things up in my life and start working out because of all of the benefits it provides. I’ve actually started the workout process and I’ve been doing it for about a month now so I figured i would be more qualified and tell you guys a little bit about my workout routine and how it is fitting into my busy lifestyle!

Routine 1:

For starters, I have a few different workout routines. The first of them being one where I like to go in and I walk to track. This will usually be about 10 minutes of walking and then I go and workout on one of the sitting bikes for about 10 minutes, as well.

Routine 2:

My next workout routine as a little more intensive but not a lot because I am just a beginner, so I go in and hop on one of the ellipticals I think they’re called and I usually do this for about 10 minutes. Then I get off and wash my machine. Next, I will do one of the treadmill for about 10 minutes.

If you notice to fit this in the my schedule my workouts are only about 20 minutes long and after each workout I do 5 minutes to clean up. For this I’ll go down to the the shower or I’ll just go into one of the bathrooms and I will wipe down with water or if I’m feeling extras sweaty I’ll jump in and take a really quick shower to clean up before I have to head to class.

The gym is actually really close to my campus and so it takes me about 4 minutes to drive over to my campus and so you have it. I fit in a workout routine into my busy college single mom life in all of about 30-35 minutes.

Workout Music:

You have to have the right kind of soundtrack or video to keep you motivated. I know after a couple minutes on and elliptical or the bike I start to get pretty tired, that probably sounds pretty lame. I love listening to country music while I workout, but some of the music that I listen to is typically music that I wouldn’t listen to with my daughter just because I don’t like her to listen to some of the country songs, they are not always appropriate. I also like to watch someone my favorite videos on YouTube so while I’m running on the elliptical or walking around the track or biking, I put in the headphones and I watch some Girl Defined videos, whatever they have current those are always good and keep me positive. I also watch some of the Dear Greyson YouTube videos by Alex just because I think those are funny and they’re fun to watch. They just remind me to try to be a fun mom. Those are two of the YouTube videos I like to watch.
