So with Thanksgiving right around the corner, I’m super excited to share with you just a few of the things my daughter and I have been doing to prepare for the holiday!

This year, I feel like I really wasn’t all that inspired to celebrate Thanksgiving, and to mess with the holidays in general. Since I am in college, as a single mom, I’m not in classes this week.

Thanksgiving Preschool at the Library:

I took my daughter on a day adventure on Monday, this includes some Thanksgiving preschool pages at the library, and reading the plethora of Thanksgiving books they had laid out.

I printed out some of the pages I found on Google to do some fun stuff.

Go out to dinner Sometime during the week!

Another fun Thanksgiving thing we did, since we really don’t have any Thanksgiving traditions besides having turkey that my daughter doesn’t eat is going out to eat this week to a Mexican restaurant! I was super excited about this one and my daughter ate pretty good!

Make a Feather Turkey:

This one was as impromptu as it sounds! I find it pretty unpleasant to host people at our home. As in I really don’t like to have people stay an entire week at my place. Anyway so one of the activities my daughter and I did amid this pretty much miserable week was a feather Turkey. Basically we took a bunch of feathers and poked them into a spaghetti strainer! Ta-da, a random fat Turkey!

Make homemade bread.

I think I’ve shared this recipe with you guys before and it is on my Pinterest board. But here’s the recipe for my homemade bread made from scratch with a bread maker!
