College Moms Morning Routine to make it to the dreaded 8 AM.

So as promised last week, here is the mommy morning routine I made to get out the door by 8 am. Good news is though, that it would work for leaving the house any time…and can be adjusted to fit you!

I start my days out at 5am when I have to leave the house by 8am….the first morning I worked on it I decided to Pace myself and basically write down how long it took me to do everything.

20 minutes: to wake up and look through my phone/Pinterest. This is just some relax time.

5 minutes: got to the bathroom/put in contacts

25 minutes: to shower/wash hair.

15 minutes: pack gym bag/pick out cloths and get dressed.

25 minutes: Put on makeup/pack diaper bag/make breakfast shake to sip on

35 minutes: Get my daughter dressed and medicines given + doing light makeup while waking her up.

15 minutes: to give my daughter breakfast.

Run out the door…

So let’s see how I did…140 minutes…or two hours 20 minutes…yea I was 20 minutes over the time I typically like to leave at, so I can allow an hour for dropping off my daughter, drive time, as well as walking to class across campus.

So it looks like that relax time needs to be changed up a bit. Here’s the new schedule:

5:00 am: wake up/go to bathroom
5:15 am: shower/wash hair
5:35 am: pick out cloths/pack bags
5:55 am: makeup/Breakfast drink
6:15 am: wake up lill tot and sit on the bed reading some bible verses
6:25 am: dress lill tot and give medicine
6:40 am: brush teeth and get lill tot breakfast.
7:00 am: last minute anything
7:10 am: go to car/leave
