I suffer from fatigue and Crohn’s disease, sometimes this makes parenting (and just life in general) a little more difficult as a single mom. I don’t let that stop me though. I’m not the only mom who feels bad sometimes.
Every mommy has those days, where they just feel blah, wither it’s from exhaustion and fatigue, PMS, migraine or whatever it is. Sometimes you just feel like crap.
So, we’ve come up with a list of activities you can do with your daughter, so you are still actively participating in her life, but also will allow you to get a little down time

1. Movies and snuggles!
It’s no secret that TV is a great babysitter when your not feeling well, but I don’t think any mommy really wants to admit that. Do wither you have the movies rent the movies, Netflix or whatever snuggling with your little gal while you watch TV, can be great bonding when you don’t feel well.
2.) Make a pallet on the floor.
Making a pallet on the floor and laying with your daughter while she munches popcorn and plays little games, looks at books or watches TV can be great bonding! Lay some blankets down and get some fun pillows or stuffed animals out.

3.) Do each other’s hair.
This is a super chill activity, even if you just brush your daughters hair a little bit because you don’t feel well she will love to doll yours up with hairspray or detangler, brush it, and ass bows and scrunchies. Basically you just sit there and she has a blast!
4.) Play with blocks
Building castles, playing with blocks on your pallet while you listen to Christian radio is really relaxing, and laid back. You don’t have to worry about having to clean up a big mess. The radio with calming music is a great way for us Mama’s to relax when we’re not feeling well!
5.) Bath time:
A hot bath with Epson salt and Vicks vapor bath is a great way to relax your body and ease your headache. Buy you a single mom, and this is supper hard to achieve more than like once a month right? Wrong! Here’s how I get these stress relieving baths. We take in a basket, and some baby dolls and wash cloths and a little towel. Run your nice bath, however you like it, and maybe even turn on some calming music. Bring the basket and baby dolls into the bathroom so while you are relaxing in the tub, your daughter can give all her baby dolls a bath. This let’s you get some down time, and still have eyes on your daughter so she’s not getting into anything crazy!
