As a single mom no date night is your ordinary date night, but this one was even farther from it! My daughter and I decided to have a park picnic, with four interesting participants this past Saturday evening!

A dog, a mom, a daughter, and a doll, and so the story goes.

Our favorite moments:

While writing this post I decided to enlist a little help from my daughter and ask her what her favorite part about our Saturday night day night was. She said, “The dog part, I loved the dog riding in the car with us. It was the best.”

My favorite part was how much fun my daughter had on the trip. I also loved getting to take photos with all the fun filters we used from Snapchat for some fun selfie taking! I loved getting to smell the flowers as well, and the park was so fun for a picnic that evening!

Our Date Night Itinerary:

We started out by putting our little dogs bed in the car, we are newbee’s for traveling with pets! Pee then loaded up the Daughter, doll, and the mom! And headed into town for burger king. My daughter wanted chicken fries and thought our little dog would love them too! And he did! We parked our car in a lovely spot to go people and car spotting and munched down on our dinner!

The Tradition:

Since that first Saturday night we started this we’ve made it our tradition to have this as our date night with a dog and my daughter gets absolutely excited about it! We always take fun selfies and pictures with the dog, and get a tasty dinner! I’ve read in articles all over Pinterest that the things your daughter will remember the most are the traditions!
