Now if any of you are wondering why I label this post the caring edition it’s because a lot of the activities in it deal with showing other people you care, or caring for things. So, if you want to show your daughter a little love this week, how to care for others, or just spend some quality time with family, check out these four great ideas:

1.) Make a gnome garden:

I love gardening and being outside, my little gal does too. So, we decided to build a gnome garden. Now if you imagine us going out and placing 50 some odd garden gnomes in our yard and calling it a day, you totally have the wrong idea. We only have one that is about 2.5 inches tall. In reality we made a tiny fairy garden, but with a gnome instead of a fairy. However, you take this idea , a gnome garden, fairy garden, of 50 some off gnomes in your yard; it’s bound to be a bonding experience! It can be used as a way of beautifying your yard, and showing your daughter you care by pending time with her. Below I’ve included a photo of my little one building her gnome garden. Ill go ahead and link some of the supplies you might need if you are interested in building one of your own. A gnome is a must have, some little chairs, a bench, and perhaps a bridge.

2.) Make cards for family:

Just because, or for a special occasion, making cards with your daughter is a great way to show family members your thinking of them. All you need are some basic supplies such as paper and crayons. But to make it extra fun, you could use these candy markers like we did!

3.) Make cookies!

This recipe makes 26 cookies, we had a huge amount of cookies because we had been hosting family for the week. I hear they were delicious, though I couldn’t eat them because I’m on a keto diet. But if you are looking for a simple recipe that you can make fun shapes out of with your daughter check out this one:

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of creamy peanut butter

Instructions:

1.) Beat the sugar and the eggs together until smooth

2.) Mix in peanut butter

3.) Roll out and cut in to shapes or Pat out into round flat cookies.

4.) Cook in oven on 300 until done

4.) Surprise Nails:

This was so much fun! I have a little one who hardly sits still but she loves the look of her nails when they are painted. So, one night I decided I’d paint them for her while she was sleeping. She is a pretty sound sleeper at night (most of the time) so this task wasn’t hard to do. What a fun surprise it will be when she wakes up and notices the pretty colors on her feet! I love the Ice Brand of Nail polish! It goes on really smooth and its usually only $2 a bottle and you can get a set of 10 here for $17.

Lets keep the conversation going, as a mom, what are your favorite ways to show your daughter you care? Do you have any favorite kindness activities you do with your daughter?

Can’t wait to hear from you in the comments below,

-Brie
